You guys are awesome, I loved reading your guesses on my secret project. I got a bunch of great ideas without even trying and I wish I was half as amazing as some of you think.
More than a few of you were spot on. Some of you were close. In the near future I am going to work on a new pattern, a bunch of skirts, a new dress or 5, a tutorial is in the works, pants… yep, a few quilts (maybe even one for me), and a ton of baby stuff for November.
Somewhere around November 19th give or take.
Baby #6 is on the way. I am so excited and can’t wait for this little one to join our family! Don’t ask me about it in person though, I’m a little touchy about the “Don’t you know what causes that?” and “Are they all yours?” and “You’re going to have your hands full!” comments so I might just take you down. We were completely expecting to be expecting so we are thrilled.
So on to secret #2. The prize. So what did you enter to win? This-
A little something I made to draw attention away from my root beer belly. I’m not sure that was such a good idea because I think it draws attention to my growing double chin so I’m passing it on. Who am I passing it on to?
Using my random comment generator, also know as my trusty rusty colander and Mary’s cute little hand, the winner is JWB! Congrats and I’ll send it over after I get it wrapped up and cutified.
Have a fantastic weekend!
Congrats! That's so exciting!
ReplyDeleteI hear you on the "you'll have your hands full" comments. Um, thanks. I'm pregnant with numbers four and five and even before I was showing, I have people say tell me that at the store, just for the three I do have!
Wow! How exciting, congratulations!!!!!!!

ReplyDeleteSo wonderful! I have seven of my own, so I can fully appreciate all those "helpful" suggestions and comments! ;o) My kids are grown now and growing up and currently are the best of friends! Big families are wonderful!
ReplyDeleteCONGRATS!! I have 4 kids & I can't go to a store without getting atleast a couple comments on how I must have my hands full...it has started to get a bit annoying...especially because I know that there is atleast one more little Spirit that will join our family in the future! Big families are great!!
ReplyDeleteCongratulations! I have 4 and it is certainly alot of work but totally worth it. :)
ReplyDeleteWell, let me just be the first to say that "Desi" would be the perfect name, boy or girl!!
ReplyDeleteI bet no one else has said THAT!!
I'm so happy for you. 6 is a magic number. Until 7 is a magic number. Personally, I really like 8.
xxoo!!
Oh congratulations!!! I'm excited for you. I had six as well. I wanted an even number of kids. AND we LOVE having a big family with all of the fun personalities!

Congratulations! Looking forward to all the wonderful baby things you'll be showing us. Might get my baby wheels turning again.
ReplyDeleteCongratulations! My number six just turned 1--*sniff sniff*
ReplyDeleteWe know all those comments. It is amazing what complete strangers think is their business.
I am thrilled for you--oh and I love your blog!
Thank you for all the inspiration.
Wendy
HORRAY!!! I would LOVE to have a large family! I pray that God wants it for me too...
ReplyDeleteI have 3 right now, and even *i* get the 'you have your hands full' comment. I often Smile and say 'Yes, thank you, they are full of love'. :)
I hate the "you have your hands full"
ReplyDeletecomment. When It was just the 2 I never heard any of it. when I am out with my 2 year old and belly, I dont hear any of it. But when I am out with 2 kids and a belly everyone tells me that with a look of shock on their face. you would think that I was the first to have 2 kids. and they really arent all that close together. my oldest will be in kindergarten when baby is born.
When I was laying on the operating table with my 3rd child about to be born (all 4 of my babies were c-sections) the nurse actually looked at me with concern in her eyes and said "You do know this keeps happening don't you honey?". I hear the you've got your hands full every single time I go to the store. The great part about them saying that is I'm usually missing one or two their jaws hit the floor when I inform them that the shopping crew isn't complete. Congratulations on baby number 6. Children are a wonderful thing I wish people would start seeing thy and quit referring to them as "hands-full".
ReplyDeleteCongratulations! :)
ReplyDeleteBeatufiul necklace and congratulations! Six - that is so fun!
ReplyDeleteCongratulations! I'm expecting my fourth, in an area with 2-child families. The comments come thick and fast, but oh well! We're super happy. :)
ReplyDeleteCongrats. I can't wait until we can have our third, maybe I should lose the baby weight from the second baby first:)
ReplyDeleteCongratulations! I am so excited for you! I hope you are feeling well! I just had baby #3 and I get the "you are busy" comment all the time. I even got it with two kids. Seriously people!
ReplyDeleteyay congrats! That is such exciting news.
ReplyDeleteCongrats! I haven't been here in a while. What wonderful news to pop in to see.
ReplyDeleteCongratulations!! How exciting. I despise it when people say things like "wow you have your hands full" or straight out "you're crazy, how can you handle that many?". Children are a total and complete gift from God and everyone can handle having a different amount so if you want one more, or five more, go for it and be proud!
ReplyDeleteCongratulations! I'll cross my fingers that's it a brother for Jeremy! :)
ReplyDeleteCONGRATULATIONS!!! And hey, I have MY hands full with my 3 - but full hands & full hearts are a good thing! Children are blessings no matter what!!! So very happy for your fantastic news. Now get some rest:) You amaze me:)
ReplyDeleteI have been away, so am just catching up on blogland. Congrats to you both!
