I’ve been singing “O Holy Night” all week so you can guess what’s on my mind. It’s really hard to work on Christmas gifts when the girls are awake and I go to bed by 10 every night to read so not much is happening yet in the toy making department. I’m making slow progress in between curtain sewing bursts but I did manage to paint up a few peg people and an adorable little house bag for them to live in last week. Yep, I’ve had this project marinating for over a week now and I haven’t been able to blog about it since my camera has been going to work with Cody (ugghh). So you get this-
A cruddy cell phone picture taken in the dark. I can’t wait another minute to share. Patience has never been one of my virtues. This is the Bear Family and their rude little blond house guest for Kaci. The little cottage bag has a see through window in front. I plan on making a doll house for her (I already have it) but the bag should come in handy for those times when Kaci just needs to bring them places. I’m also working on a vet set for Mary so I’ll take a real picture of the entire thing when I’m done. With a real camera even ;).
The queen of this castle is getting her first crown (dental) tomorrow and I’m a little nervous about the whole thing. I like my teeth ordinary. Wish me luck!
♥ Very cute!!! Joe needs a crown too... They're so spendy!!!
ReplyDeleteLove the wooden peeps and the fab take-along house...too cute and great idea!!
ReplyDeleteGood luck tomorrow! The dentist office is definitely not my favorite place :)
Okay, confession: I have come back to look at this post at least five times since I first saw it last night. I want to make these! They are so cute! (I am talking about the dolls and the house bag- I love it all.) Please please please post more pictures soon! And a tutorial for the dolls wouldn't go unappriciated. :) You are so cool!
ReplyDeleteThe bear family is so cute. My husband has been taking the camera to work too. Very annoying! ;) Good luck at the dentist.

your peg people are so cute. I've painted 1 family (out of 3) for Christmas and they look so dorky. But I've got an idea or two from yours (hair, face) so will try again. thanks for posting.
ReplyDeleteWhat a fabulous idea! I'm in love with your peg peeps. Any plans to share where you got your house from or are you making it?
ReplyDeletehi, this is the first time i've seen your blog. love this post on your bear family! i was wondering where you bought the wood pegs? i've seen the wood doll pins, but i've never seen the kind you used. i'd love to make something like this for my girls for christmas! thanks!!!
