Monday Reality

Here’s a little glimpse into a typical Monday at my house.  I spend all morning doing dishes, sweeping and mopping floors, and this-

The day after the weekend laundry explosion.  Somewhere under that ginormous pile lies my washing machine. This is only 2 days worth of laundry, Saturday and Sunday.  If it weren’t so stinky and gross I would hide in there.  No one would find me for at least a week or until they needed jeans and undies.

When I shut the door and pretend it doesn’t exist- that’s when I get to craft.  Like this-

This is my new project that I started on Friday, which is why my laundry looked like the picture above today.  The rest of the house was pretty much the same.  Crafting has it’s price when you’ve got a big family to look after.  I’m so thankful for doors, and curtains… yes definitely curtains.  This is my life as a cover girl.

Have a fan flipping-tastic Monday!  If you need me I’ll be hiding crafting.

  1. I have a saying...I can't decide if we're that dirty OR that we're that clean for the laundry to pile up so high, so quickly! :)

  2. but it's so worth it, right? Have fun. . .I am in denial about the laundry that is covering my living room floor. . .clean - but needs to be folded & find its rightful place. That could take a while! I'm not even going to open the laundry room door. . I worked all weekend. . at my job I get paid to do that is!

  3. I'm right there with you! But I have to say that I love laundry day--what else can look like you've worked so hard and yet you don't have to do anything for the 45 mins it's in the machine.
    It's fabulous!
I get the most crafting done on laundry day around here.

  9. Thank you for your nice comment on my blog! I hope you don't mind that I'd linked to your blog...one day I stumbled across a blog with tutorials, and before I knew it I'd linked to several...ones that had great crafts...I enjoy reading your blog, keep up the good work! Oh and I can completely relate to the Monday laundry thing...in our house there are lots of dishes to do by Monday morning, too (which isn't exciting when you don't have a dishwasher!!).
