For the dapper Dad
I think I failed to mention they kicked me out of Relief Society about 3 or so months ago. I loved it but it’s nice to get the chance to do something new after 7 years. I’m in the primary presidency now and have had the chance to try out my kid crafts on some fresh meat. My kids just aren’t as interested in my fun kid activities. They act like "Great mom, another craft today. Oh yay. What are we going to do with pipe cleaners today”. I think there’s something wrong with them ;).
I was asked to help with the Father’s day treat for the dads at church and here’s what I came up with.
My twist on the tie card. Adding candy! I’m sure this has been done before but I haven’t seen it yet so I think I’m pretty clever. The bow tie is a snack size package of candy, I wish I had m&m’s that would look better I think, with a bit of pipe cleaner twisted around the middle. The inside opens for them to color their special message or picture to dad.
Because we have 35 kids doing the activity I put “Made with love by:” on the back for names so they don’t get mixed up.
If you are in need of a quick and easy activity I thought I’d share my template.
Just right click and save the picture. Make sure you print it full page size so the proportions are right. May your children appreciate it more than mine did. Have a great Thursday!
